The Uplift Mofo Party Plan
The Uplift Mofo Party Plan is the band's third studio album, released in 1987. It was the only studio album to feature all founding members (although this line-up previously played on the band's 1983 demo), before Hillel Slovak's death and Jack Irons' departure in 1988. "Fight Like a Brave" was the only single released for the album initially, until 1992 when EMI Records decided to release "Behind the Sun" as a single to promote the new compilation album "What Hits!?".

Icon About the band Icon
Red Hot Chili Peppers (also sometimes shortened to "The Chili Peppers" or abbreviated as "RHCP") are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. The group's musical style primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on funk, as well as elements from other genres such as punk rock and psychedelic rock. When played live, their music incorporates elements of jam band due to the improvised nature of much of their performances. Currently, the band consists of founding members Anthony Kiedis (vocals) and Flea (bass), longtime drummer Chad Smith, and recently reincorporated guitarist John Frusciante. Red Hot Chili Peppers have won seven Grammy Awards, and have become one of the best-selling bands of all time, selling over 80 million records worldwide. In 2012, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Abbey front
Fire is a Jimi Hendrix song that the band covered in 1987 and was released as the b-side to the "Fight Like a Brave" single and in The Abbey Road E.P. in 1988. After Hillel Slovak died and Jack Irons left the band, the band went on to record their fourth album (Mother's Milk) with new guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith, and they decided to re-release their version of the song as the ninth track in the album as a tribute to Slovak.
